Liberia Independence Celebration: Day 1

Hello Loves! My apologies for the lack of posts lately. I have been busy with both work and play. Liberia celebrated its 165th Birthday on July 26, 2012 and I have been enjoying the perks. This posts visits the "Independence Party" at Deja Vu Night Club. The party was hosted by Royal Gold Entertainment and was quite a blast! Tunes were played by DJ Blue who recently made LIB so proud when he DJ'ed at the Big Brother House in South Africa.

The theme for the night was "An African Affair", so most guests showed up in their best African attire. I wore a vintage African print jacket, compliments of my late grandmother, a black micro-mini, and my fav strappy sandals. Enjoy the post

Pink, Green Stripes, and Blue Suede

This color palette was inspired by an outfit that Stacey Dash's character Val of "Single Ladies" wore. Val wore a pink baby tee, green mini and blue suede Christian Louboutins pumps.

I LOVE these blue suede peek toe pumps I got from Aldo the last time I was in the States. They go with virtually any outfit and serve as a great neutral, believe it or not. I wore a blinged out elephant cuff on my wrist to add a little something special to the outfit. Sorry you can't really see it. My photographer and I are still trying to get on the same wavelength as far as vision for the pics.

Walk About: Girls Night

Last weekend my girlies and I had GIRLS NIGHT. We had a great time to say the least. The night began at my good friend Tania's house where we enjoyed authentic Thai cuisine prepared by a personal Thai chef. While eating we went around and described our reality TV show alter egos (you had to be there). After we got dolled up we went to Palm Spring Hotel & Casino for drinks and live music and ended the night at Deja Vu Night Club. I apologize for the poor quality of photos below. This camera I am using in the mean time tends to produce pictures that look like they were taken in 1998. Oh well Good times!

What To Wear: Anniversary Date Night

What To Wear: Anniversary Date Night

Hello Loves! My boyfriend and I will be celebrating our two year anniversary on the 16th of this month. Though I don't know what he has planned yet, I just wanted to give you all an idea of what I may throw on for such an occasion. You can never go wrong with a body-con dress. These are great for sucking everything in and making any body type look super sexy. A jeweled bag always makes a statement with earrings that compliment. I chose a colored shoe here to add some flavor, and toped it off with a pink pout. An outfit like this will surely remind your better half why they fell for you in the first place!

Stiletto Nail Trend

So, the Stiletto Nail (or as Liberians call it, Pointed Nail) Trend has been around for a while, and I have finally hopped on the bandwagon. Pictured above are my own nails that have been filed into a rounded pointy tip. At first I was a little skeptical because I thought it could come out looking a bit old lady-ish, but that was not the case at all. I love these nails and I tend to go even further next time by making them more cat claw-ish much like some of the pics you see below. Honestly, these pics don't do them much justice. They are much pointier in real life. I decided on an emerald green nail color for the look for a little extra POW. Thanks Zutin Nails, you've hooked me up once again!

Korto Momolu Accessories Line 2012

I was finally able to get on www.kortomomolu.com today, and I must say her 2012 Accessories Line is pretty yummy. The line consists of jewelry, bags, and belts. I love to use of the natural cowhide in the bags. I am an animal lover, but man-o-man the use of the cow horn as a handle is to die for (no pun intended I promise). I have posted my favs here for your amazement.
